LETHBRIDGE, Mary BIO

After 90 years of living our mom Mary Lethbridge left this world on Thursday, November 16, 2017, quickly and peacefully, with many of those she loved by her side.  Mom was predeceased by our father William (Bill) Lethbridge in 2006 after 59 years of marriage. Their children Cheryl Comba (Dan Rossetto)(late Tom Comba), Ron (Linda), Janice Martineau (Bob Thomas) and Bill Jr. (Kathy Stanley) will miss her dearly. Mom and dad were predeceased by 3 infant children, Catherine, Michael and Barbara many years ago.  Mom had 8 grandchildren; Shelley, Tom and Dawn Comba; Neil, Leanne and Lana Martineau; Kerinda Lethbridge and Meghan Thomas. She was also fortunate to love 14 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. Mom enjoyed 11 years at Great Northern Retirement Home where she made a number of friends with both residents and staff. After a fall in June she spent 3 months at Sault Area Hospital on 3A and 2A prior to moving to Cedar Wood Lodge in September. The care that mom received at SAH was exemplary and she progressed very well following a hip replacement. She was happy to move to Cedar Wood Lodge where she loved all of the staff and couldn’t say enough about the care she received and how kind everyone was – she even loved the food. It is unfortunate that she didn’t get to enjoy more time there. Our heartfelt thanks to Jane Mason, Robin Mowbray and all of the front line care staff for their love, compassion and professionalism. Mom’s life was greatly enhanced by audio books from CNIB for many years once her eyes failed. We can only imagine how long some of her days would have been without her beloved books. Should anyone wish to make donations on her behalf that would be her chosen recipient. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Thanks to Arthur Funeral Home for their professional, respectful and kind arrangements. You’ve earned a well-deserved rest strong lady. We love you. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E, 705-759-2522).
