Peacefully passed away with her daughter by her side on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Much loved mother of Evelyn Bailey and Carole Willing (Phil). Cherished grandmother of Rob Bailey and Megan McRae. Dear daughter of the late James and Mary Astin. Sister of the late Doreen Robinson (Gordon) and the late Pearl Astin. Sister in law of Gladys Anderson (late Andy), late Phillip Leishman (Edith), and the late Morris Leishman (late Laura). Aunt of Judy, Don and Richard. Gwen was a proud veteran of RCAF WWII. A private service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (759-2522). Mr. Ken Golder officiated. We are most grateful to the nurses and staff at Pathways and the F.J. Davey Home for the care and compassion shown to our mother.
