Peacefully on the 30th of August in her 97th year with her daughters by her side. Helmi was predeceased by her parents Edla and Felix Westman and her brothers and sisters in Finland. Beloved wife of the late Jalmari Lehtimäki. Dear mother of Leila Makkonen (late Erkki). Riitta Lehtmäki (Richard Virene). Predeceased by son Matti Lehtimäki and daughter Maila Jantunen (late Herman Kirs). Mummu and grandmother of Kari Makkonen (Lucy), Jaana Jantunen, Lori Lehtimäki and Mark Lehtimäki (Peggy). Great grandmother of Christina Morin (Adam), Sarah Edgar (Jeremy), Dustin Makkonen, Nicholas Makkonen, Shane MacGuigan, Reggie Cruickshank, Nicholas Lehtimäki and Zachary Lehtimäki. Great great grandmother of Lexxus Morin, Quinn Morin and Isabella Edgar. Helmi will be fondly remembered by friends and extended family here and in Finland. Special thank you to MKK staff for their care and patience. A service for the family has taken place with Rev. Jouko Jyrkama.
