It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tong on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the age of 88. Tong passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Ye Sin "Sandy" Lee (Wong). Cherished father of Perry and Sandra, father-in-law to Rhonda (Dietrich). Loving grandfather to Kathryn and Jocelyn. Predeceased by parents Kin Lee and Fuey Suey You Lee (Wong) and an older brother.
Tong was born in Wang Tong, Canton, China on July 05, 1934 and became a proud Canadian Citizen on November 21, 1934. Tong remained a lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie, He was self-employed and owned several businesses in Sault Ste. Marie before retiring. He was an avid sports fan, loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. Tong lived a long, happy and fulfilled life. He was beloved by many family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E., 705-759-2522) on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 7 pm until 9 pm.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 9:30 am until 10:45 am for a short prayer and interment to follow.
Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (payable by cheque or online) would be appreciated by the family.
