LAY, Ronald Albert "Ron"

Surrounded by his family, Ron passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, March 31, 2011 in his 85th year at the F. J. Davey Home. Loving son of the late O.E. “Jack” Lay and survived by his mother Lucy Lay in her 103rd year. Beloved and devoted husband of Audrey Lay for 63 years. Loving father of Barry, David (Sandra), Diana and Deborah King (David Elson). Cherished grandfather of Shawna Volkmann (Derek), Tammy Broks (Paul), Craig Huckson (Laura Mitchell), Jonathan King (and his father David King), Ron Lay (Sarah), Nick Lay (Rejeanne) and Christian Lay. Loving great grandfather of Colton, David, Emma, Riley, Avery, Alexandra and Lauren. Brother of Nora Jennings (Art), Ross Lay (Marlene) and Carol Brownlee (Bob). Brother-in-law of Murray Nicholls (late Dot), Gloria Crozier (late Keith Nicholls) and Don Nicholls (Shirley). Ron will be fondly remembered by his many nieces,nephews, lifelong friends and teammates. We were blessed to have you in our lives. We love you and you will be with us always. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, there will be a private visitation and family service. Memorial donations to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, Alzheimer's Foundation, Heart & Stroke of Ontario or SAH Urology Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
