In loving memory of Dorothy, September 28, 1942 - August 31, 2006. Was peacefully called home into the Lord's hands on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Sudbury Laurentian Hospital at the age of 63. Loving mother to Lisa (John) and Derek (Kate) Lawrence. Predeceased by their father Ralph Ernest (Ernie) Lawrence. Devoted grandmother to Kaden, Brant, Ashley and Emily. Daughter of the late David and Sarah Nahwegahbow. Dear sister to Margaret Negonnegijig, Loretta, Barbara, Charles (Georgina), Joseph, Henry (Elaine), Kenneth (Elizabeth) Nahwegahbow; all of Aundeck Omni Kaning (Sucker Creek First Nation). A very special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Dear Godmother to Debbie (Ivan). A special friend to Shane Barrow and a considerate friend to many. Born in Sucker Creek and long time resident of Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury in recent years. Dorothy worked for many years for the Department of Indian Affairs, she embraced life with a passion, a sense of humour, always concerned about the well-being of others. She was never so happy as when surrounded by family and friends and especially her grandchildren. Her favourite past times was reading and bingo. Dorothy will always be lovingly remembered for her kind spirit. The family will hold a celebration of life at the Manitoulin Gospel Fellowship Church with visitation from 1 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006 until service on Monday, September 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. followed by a feast.
