Passed away peacefully at Golden Birches Terrace, Blind River, on Thursday, January 13, 2005 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of 50 years to Marjorie Langford (nee Storie). Loving father of Darwin Langford of Dryden, and Janet Azhadi (Mike) of Rockwall, Texas. Cherished grandfather to Jared Langford of Ear Falls, Becky Langford of Dryden, Sarah Azhadi of Thunder Bay, and Jessica Azhadi of Rockwall, Texas. Brother to Homer (Shirley) of Kitchener, Thelma Cudmore (late Andy) of Trout Creek, Elizabeth Ricketts (late Bert) of Marysville, B.C. and the late Melvin, Orvil (late Dora), and Wilmer (Marg) of Niagara Falls. He will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Red worked as a linesman and lines technician for Ontario Hydro for many years. He coached minor hockey and baseball and also coached the local Ontario Hydro baseball team to the Ontario championships. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He belonged to the Penewobikong Lodge 487 and was a volunteer for the Anglers and Hunters projects for many years. Visitation at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, January 17, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
