LAMON, William (Bill)

Passed away suddenly with his four girls and family members by his side at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the age of 59. Loving husband and high school sweetheart of Helen. Proud and devoted father of Samantha Nishizaki, Sherry White (Monte) and Sandra Lamon (Caleb Dereski). Adoring grandpa of Noah and Selby Nishizaki and Carson and Ava White. Son of the late William and Betty-Lou Lamon. Son-in-law of the late Rose and Mike Martin. Loving big brother of the late Ken Lamon (Cindy), Derek Lamon (Louise) and Ruth Davidson (Scott). Special brother-in-law of Tony Martin (Anna), Anne Erechook (Richard), Thomas Martin (late Sharon), Maggi Dillon (Patrick), Rosemary Connor (late Jimmy) and Catherine Mansfield (Bill). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bill retired as the Director of Public Works for the Town of Wawa. He was committed to his job and the community. Upon retirement, his greatest pleasure was to ride his motorcycle with his brother, always remembering to stop for ice cream at the Canadian Carver. Through this new found passion he met many new friends. His friendly nature and cheery disposition will be remembered by everyone who met him. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 12 noon. Father Pat Woods officiating.  Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District would be appreciated by the family.
