After a courageous two year battle, it is with heavy hearts that the family of Lorraine Krmpotich announces her passing at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Friday, October 2, 2009. Beloved wife of 30 years to Danny. Loving mother of Luke (Lesley). Dear sister of Debbie (Steve) and Rosanne; sister-in-law of Randy (Janet), Joe (Sherry) and Debbie (John). Predeceased by her parents Morley and Marie Pidgen and mother-in-law Sally Krmpotich. Survived by her father-in-law Danny Sr and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadly missed by her pets Buddy, Sylvester, Freddie and Danny Boy. Extra special thanks to Lorraine's close friends, co-workers at Penny's Pets, and her family's co-workers for their kind and helpful support during this difficult time. Special thank you to the staff of A.R.C.H., Triesta, Nina, Lisa, Wendy, Viola and the extra special volunteers for their love and compassion given to Lorraine and her family. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Northwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services (942 Great Northern Road, 945-7758) on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Private family memorial service will be held. Inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to A.R.C.H. or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
