KISSAU, Mr. Larry Edward

After a long and courageous struggle with illness and respiratory complications, Larry became pain free at home, as the first golden rays of sunlight touched his much loved Chub Lake in the early hours of March 11, 2006. His beloved Ute was at his side. Larry will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Ute, family and friends and his constant companion Sascha. Loving son of the late Edward and Doreen Kissau. Beloved father of Lara Goodner (Jeff) of Georgia and special grandfather to Katya Paetzold of Georgia. Dear brother of Kimberly McDonald (Mac) of Florida. Larry will be greatly missed by his many friends and cottagers of Chub Lake and those who knew him at Limberlost Lodge. He made a tremendous contribution to the protection and betterment of the environment through his activities with nature groups, research groups and Ministry of Natural Resources committees. His love of the wilderness and his guardianship of the wilderness will be his wonderful legacy to future generations who will follow in his silent steps along wilderness trails. As per his request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held on the shores of Chub Lake at a later date (to be announced) with all of his friends gathered. A gathering for friends and family will take place at the Wharncliffe Community Hall on Friday, March 17, 2006 fro 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Joseph's Health Centre, 525 Causley Street, Blind River, Ontario P0R 1B0
