Passed away quietly on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in her home at the age of 87 years. Born Jean F. Wallace on December 13, 1920 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, she enjoyed life for 87 years. She was happily married to David Lee Kenagy. Jean retired from the Plummer Memorial Hospital after more than 25 years as an R.N.A. in the nursery/obstetrics department. Jean is survived by sons, Aubrey Lee (Joyce) Kenagy, Richard Wallace and daughter, Ellen Christine (Patrick) O’Neill. The beloved grandchildren include: Mary Jean (Norm) Chartrand, John (Christina) Kenagy, Tom (Sarah) Kenagy, David (Crystal) Kestila and Christopher Kestila. She was also a proud great grandmother of Nicole & Olivia Chartrand, Sarah & Ethan Kestila and Beck Kenagy. Forever devoted brothers and sisters are: Ricky (Theresa) Wallace, Geraldine (Patrick) Gingras, Leonard Lorenzo and Jean Wallace. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and neighbours were also loved dearly by Jean. Preceded in death is husband David Lee, son David Robert, brother Robert and sister Joan. With a keen sense of humour, she gave freely her love and affection to all who crossed her doorstep. A celebration of her life will be held in the spring. At Jean’s request there will be no funeral service. Memorial contributions to the Oddfellows would be appreciated by the family.
