Kachur, Rita

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Rita Kachur (nee Albert) on October 13th, 2010 at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake. Rita is predeceased by husband William of 47 years, in 2007.
She is survived by her children Wesley Morris (Debra) of Ottawa, Linda (Don Lashbrook) of Elliot Lake and Dan (Christine) of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear grandmother of Katherine (Sean), Shawn (Sarah), Ley all of Ottawa, Selena (Neil) of Winnipeg, Nicole (Leonard) of Elliot Lake, Kaitlyn of Elliot Lake, and Kelsey and Kendra of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear great-grandmother of 6. Also survived by brother Georges Albert of Blind River, sister Marie-Jeanne Wigle of Kingston and sister-in-law Lillian Albert of Elliot Lake. Predeceased by sister Alice Albert and brother Rick Albert both of Elliot Lake. Rita was born and raised in Blind River, then moved to Elliot Lake in 1955. She first met her to-be husband William at the Frontier Restaurant (Lower Plaza) in 1958 and they were married in 1959. With sincere appreciation, the family wishes to recognize the services of the nursing staff on 1st and 3rd floors and Palliative Care Team at St. Joseph’s General Hospital. A private family service will be held on Monday, October 18th, 2010 at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre.
