An Angel Falls

God never quite leaves us to the error of our ways
He tries once and tries again
To help us become better women and men
Prompting us through the maze.

We need angels to fall among us
As rain upon a forest ablaze
To quench the flames of false ambition
Leaping to selfish desires and wasted days.

With patience, forgiveness and kindness
They build bridges to our hopes
Channeling away the anger and hatred
That erodes the shores of our dreams.
Celine was that gentle messenger
With bright smile and cheerful manner
She nurtured the sick and elderly
Did battle with cruelty and despair
Loved children and all creatures fair.

Too soon for me her light is gone
Though it takes year, I’ll strive on
I’ll break the bonds of earth
And find you in the great beyond!
