JONES, Albert BIO
We regret to announce the passing of our father Albert Dudley Jones who left us shortly after his 80th birthday, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from complications at Sault Area Hospital. Dad was a man of many talents that are still acknowledged by friends and family to this day; from his early years as Uncle Albert on his local kids television show in the early 1970’s, to his well known radio voice over character Doc Prndl. He worked for many years in the local television industry from photography, camera work and cable tv to his retirement position at our local television station.  Dad quietly won awards for his early work in advertising and spent time meeting people such as Mr. Dress Up and Wayne and Shuster among others in the industry in his early years. He had many friends who worked closely with him over the years that are too many to mention, but you know who you are. You were always on his mind and he had fond memories of everyone. Our family would like to graciously thank all of our friends and family for your well wishes and support, but will be having a private immediate family only gathering as he became quite private in his later years. Dad survived by his lovely wife and our beautiful mother Shirley Edna (deceased), his children Billy (Christine), Evan (Stephanie), Martin (deceased) and myself Cheryl,  along with his four grandchildren Martin, Victoria, Joe and Jason as well as many nieces and nephews.  We will always be grateful for our memories as those who leave us are never really far. Our mother is now with our father again and they can begin a new life together in a peaceful place. Our brother Martin and our relatives who are also there, will take him in and show him a new place to shine. Love to all. We are grateful for all of our blessings during this sad time. Thank you with kindness. (Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East, 705-759-2522).
