Passed away at Algoma Residential Community Hospice on February 7, 2024 from a battle with Cancer.
Predeceased by his parents Oswin and Madeline Johnson. Rick is now reunited with the love of his life Cathy (nee Smith). Loving father of Richard (Michelle), Nancy (Steve), Michelle (Dave) and Kendra. Cherished grandfather of Owen (Brooke), Myles, Tatyana, Cameron, Riley, Ashlyn, Madeline, Elaina and Athena. Forever remembered by his siblings Randy (MJ) and Greg (Eda).
Rick, Ricky, Dad, Papa and Grandpa, likely left this world holding a rum and coke and a cigarette, standing on the helm of his boat. He had a zest for life and was always willing to help out anyone in need. He will be remembered and missed by many friends and family. We are so grateful that he was able to spend his last few days at ARCH.

As expressions of sympathy, a donation to ARCH (online or by cheque) can be made in his honour. As per Rick's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service to follow. Interment of Cremated Remains to take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton and Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St., E, 705-759-2522).
