With great sorrow we announce the passing of Nettie James (nee Armstrong). She passed peacefully with her loving family at her side on Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice at the age of 86. She will now be reunited with her loving husband of 61 years Jack (August 2005). Cherished mother of Pat (Dianne). Nanny to Rachel (Matt Drost), Robin (Dan Trevisanut), Patricia (Dan Scheffler), Matthew (Maija) and her adoring great grandchildren Jesse, Ema and Noah Harding, Hannah and Jack James, Nettie James Drost and Benjamin Trevisanut. Daughter of the late Robert and Alma Armstrong. Sister of Bertha MacFarlane (late Rene), the late Clair Armstrong (late Elsie) and the late Garfield Armstrong. Sister-in-law of the late Cecil James (late Dora), late Laura James (late Howard), late Connie McCarthy (late Bill)(late Chuck Setchell,) and the late Douglas. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. At Nettie’s request there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Church (352 Northern Ave) on Friday, June 3, 20111 at 11 am. Rev. Bob Elkin officiating.
