On Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Plummer Hospital after a
dignified battle surrounded by the love and presence of his family Giuseppe 'Joe'
finished his journey. Dearly beloved and cherished husband and soul mate of Lina.
Adored and respected father of Ivo (Tina) and Laura Coccimiglio (Tony). Son of the
late Salvatore and Teresa Iuliano. Dearest brother of the late Domenico (late
Emma), Angela Mele (late Salvatore) of Italy, Pasquale (Rosa), Barbara Mele
(Antonio) of Italy, Giannetto of Italy, Antonio (Angela), Rosetta Guzzo (Luigi) of
Italy, Caterina Girimonte (Vincenzo) of Italy and Mario (Rosa) of Italy. Beloved
son-in-law of Armando and Ida Muto. Loved brother-in-law of Brenda Magli (Antonio),
Iva Bruni (Frank), Pasquale Muto and Nancy Palombaro (Robert). Loving uncle and
great uncle of many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly always. Joe's
life always revolved around his family, friends and work. He was so much to so many
people - always ready to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbours. He
has left a void in the hearts of his family and all who loved him. He fought a hard
battle with dignity, courage and hope. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral
Home (942 Great Northern 945-7758) on Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral
Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with
Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
Mausoleum. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic would
be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Dr. Walde....Joe respected him,
trusted his judgement and considered him not just his doctor but a friend. Many
thanks to Brenda, his primary nurse for always being there fo him. To all the
wonderful staff of the Cancer Clinic, Oncology Unit, Palliative Care and Medical Day
Care. Words cannot express our gratitude to you. Joe always felt cared for and
comforted in your care. Thank you also to Dr. Mathur, Dr. Lohar, Dr. Spadafora and
Dr. Keith.
