HOULE, Ida Elizabeth

It is with great heartache that we announce the passing of Ida on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the age of 78 with her family by her side. Daughter of the late Josephine and Joseph Houle. Dear sister of Rolland Houle (Sylvia), Barbara Maitland (Vernon), late May Mills (late Clifford), late Viola Richards (late Bill), late Richard Houle (Merel), late Clarence (late Josephine), late William Houle and the late Henry Houle. Ida was a very loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Ida was born and raised in the Sault. She was a retired teacher with the Separate School Board for many years and will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. A come & go celebration of Ida’s life will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 2 – 4 pm. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Dr. Cziffer and the 2nd floor Van Daele Manor staff, Dr. Fratesi and the clinic staff and all hospital staff for the awesome care provided to Ida. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
