Passed away suddenly on November 24, 2006, at the age of 67 years. Best friend and soul mate of Flora (Haight). Dearly loved father of Patricia Hornby-Silva, Bonnie Boissineau (Jim), Michael and Craig. Bestest Poppa of Rachel, Matthew and Sarah Silva; Kassandra and Chelsea Thibault; Brandon, Bradley and Katrinka Hornby. Brother of Marg MacKay (Mel), Frances Hornby, Richard Hornby (Denise), the late David (late Maureen) and the late Christopher. Step-son of the Rev. Muriel Hornby. Son of the late Rev. Norman and Edith Hornby. Brother-in-law to Janet Fleming (Reg). Funny and fun loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Pat was a true friend to many and put his heart into everything he set his mind to. His camp and beautiful garden (the best corn on St. Joe’s Island) were his passions. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 from 6 to 9 pm. On Thursday, November 30, 2006 an Irish Memorial gathering will be held at the Hilton Beach Community Centre from 11:30 am until 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 and the Matthews Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Fund would be appreciated by the family.
