Hodgins-Sloan, Judith Marion

Born on January 10th, 1945 and died peacefully on August 5th, 2013 at Parkwood Hospital. Loving wife of Arthur Sloan of London and daughter of Marion (Whiting) and the late Bruce (1995) Hodgins of Parkhill. She is survived by her sister Joyce (Jim) Duncan and their family Pam and Robert Rivera, their children Duncan and Danica, all of Sault Ste. Marie and Chris Duncan of Brantford; her brother Jim (Cathy) Hodgins of Strathroy and their family Andrea Hodgins and Tom Ireland and their son Shawn of Mount Brydges, Rebecca Hodgins and Dave Allum and step-daughter Heaven of Stratford, Miranda Hodgins and fiancé Jeremy Nead of London. She is also survived by Arthur’s sons Chris, Ian and Kenneth and grandchildren in Scotland; an uncle, four aunts and many cousins. Judy taught for the City of London for 33 years. She loved to travel and hike, but her special passions were her family, her St. Michael’s family, photography, genealogy and especially Scottish Country Dancing. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 397 Springbank Drive, London, on Saturday, August 10th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Parkhill Cemetery, Parkhill. Those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider the VON, Canadian Cancer Society, St. Michael and All Angels Church or the North Middlesex Historical Society.
