Passed away peacefully in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, on May 21st, 2024, at the age of 83, with his loving wife by his side. He was born December 1st, 1940, in Sudbury Ontario.
Winston is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty-Ann Hoddy. Father of Jennifer Valicevic (Rob) and Craig Hoddy (Krista). Grandfather of Reyse Valicevic, Elle Valicevic, Madison Hoddy, and Morgan Hoddy. Son of the late Thomas and Julia Hoddy. Brother of the late Ray Hoddy (Paulette) and of the late Betty-Lou Philion (Dan). Son-in-law of the late Edward and Audrey Bertrand. Brother-in-law of Bill and Phylis Bertrand, Jackie Bertrand (Andy), and Graham Bertrand (late Rose).
Winston loved hunting and fishing and he spent his summers on Big Basswood Lake with Betty-Anne. Winston will be missed by many.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Willowgrove United Church (55 Tilley Rd, SSM) with Rev. Glen Eagle officiating.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff in the ICU at the Sault Area Hospital for their care and compassion.
