On Friday, June 12, 2009 our dear wife and mother was welcomed by the angels into her heavenly home. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Earl and children, Sherry Rumble (Terry), Ted (Kathleen) and Jeff (Nancy). Saddened by her passing are grandchildren, Amanda (Brent), Abigail, Greg, Courtney, Darcy, Cassidy, Sidney, Sophie, Christina and great grandchildren, Tait and Evan. She is survived by brothers, John Hatten (Shirley), Wayne Hatten (Giselle) and brother-in-law, Eric Hicks (Diana), the late Beulah Haldenby (late Fred) and the late Howard Hicks (late Wilma). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Vera will always be remembered for her strong Christian faith, her gentle humble spirit, her deep love for family and friends, her courage in difficult times, her positive attitude and her smile. All are invited to join the family for a funeral service at Port Findlay Cemetery, Tarbutt Township on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 2 pm. After the service, family and friends will gather at Calvary Baptist Church in Desbarats.
