(March 12, 1943 – March 15, 2019) - He fought and he lost his battle against cancer while at the Sault Area Hospital at age 76. He will be forever missed by the love of his life, his wife Renate of 55 years. Best dad ever to Klaus (Kerstin), Michael (Antonia) and Guido (Jutta). Loving Opi to Mayra Luna and beloved grandpa to Nick. He will be missed by many special friends.

Dieter moved from Germany to Canada in 1997 accompanied by his loving wife, Renate. They operated the Three Oak tourist resort on Gordon Lake for the last 21 years. He was known for his fine Eastern German hand-crafted wood work, participating in the Sylvan Valley Circle Tour for 15 years and the Kitchener Christkindl Market for 17 years. He loved fishing on Gordon Lake and cooking. He also enjoyed having a good meal in the company of good friends.

The family wants to thank Dr. Muller, Dr. Hill and the entire staff of the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic and the ICU for their compassionate and kind care. A special thank you to friends Karin and Bernt for being there in our time of need.

Per Dieter’s last wish there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
