HELF, Joan

It was in true Joannie style, but, it is our deepest sadness to announce the passing of our dear mother. Joan (Tiny) Ellen Helf in her 76th year after a lengthy illness. She passed peacefully with family by her side. Loving mother of Bob Helf, Susan and Reg (Helf), Cheryl and Mike Adams (Dupuis) and Victoria and Chris Williamson (Dupuis). Sister of Harvey Willoughby (Margie), Marlene Lay (Ross), Larry Willoughby (Alice), and Brenda Wierzbicki (late Robert). Proud grandma of John Paul, Robert, Debra, Catrina, Samantha, Nathan, Adelynn and great grandma of 11. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Joan volunteered with Block Parents, Victim in Crisis and John Howard Society. Family and friends may call at Northwood Funeral Reception and Cremation Centre (942 Great Northern Rd.) on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 10 am until time of the service in the Chapel at 12 pm. Rev. Bruce McLeish officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice or House of Kin would be appreciated by the family.
