HEINONEN, Lasse

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday August 1, 2021, at the age of 76. Lasse came to Canada from Finland in 1966 and met his loving wife Helen in 1967. He was the proud father of Michael. Predeceased by his parents Vaino and Halja Heinonen. Brother of the late Teuvo (Irja) and brother-in-law of Soili (Juha), Simo (Veronica) and the late Zeppo. Uncle of Jorma and Jukka of Finland, Simo Jr., Eric, Caroline, Suella, Jaana and Satu. Lasse will be missed by his furry friends Misty and Panada.
 
Lasse was known as the ‘Friendly Filander’ and his love for the Formula One and NASCAR.
 
Cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
 
The family would like to thank the staff at the Sault Area Hospital for the care given to Lasse.
