With heavy hearts we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Sylvester Hehn at St. Mary’s Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2008 surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Kuntz) Hehn for 54 years. Loving father of Brian of Edmonton, Esther Reitzel (Brian) of Kingston, Carol Binkley (Eldon), Donna Dechert (Dennis), Dianne Habberfield (Dave Meyer) all of Kitchener. Dearest Papa of Brad (Tracy), Jeff (fiance Shannon), Matthew, Aaron, Craig, Danielle, Brandon, Christopher, Summer Anne. Great-grandpa to Avery. Dear brother of Agnes (Alvin) Kieswetter, Francis Hehn (Doreen) all of Kitchener. Mary Hehn of Wingham, Michael Hehn (Bertha) of St. Clements, Audrey Weachter (Melvin) of Mildmay, Jim Hehn (Shirley) of St. Clements and Margaret Weber (Doug) of Waterloo. Predeceased by parents Isadore and Florentine Hehn.

Sylvester was a 3rd degree honourary member of Knight of Columbus Council #1504.

Sylvester’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 1-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Knights of Columbus prayer service 8:30 PM Tuesday evening.
Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 12:20 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 followed by procession to Blessed Sacrement R.C. Church (305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener) for Funeral Mass at 1 PM
Interment Williamsburg Cemetery.
