It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sydney Wayne Haynes (Syd), who passed away peacefully within the arms and prayers of his family on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the age of 70.
Syd's loving and optimistic spirit touched all of those around him and will live on through his family. Beloved husband of Alice for 47 years. Loving father of Mark Nault (Annalee), Joe Nault (Tammy Boissoneau), Brad Nault (Debbie Emms), Debbie Wanamaker (Peter), Lee Haynes (Ross Walton), Tracey McDowell (Steve) and Marnie Scott (Joe). Cherished grandfather of Corey Crack, Lisa (Alejandro) Guadamuz, Shauna Dunn Nault (Paul Demers), Caleb Nault, Shawn Wanamaker, Jordyn Nault, Aaron Wanamaker, Katie Haynes, Jennifer Wanamaker, Kiera Scott, Carly McDowell, Holly McDowell, Destiny Nault, and Maija Scott. Special great grandfather to Peyton and Dreden Grenier. Dear brother to Sandra Monto (late Lionel) and Brian Haynes; inspiring uncle to Michael and Luke Haynes. Devoted son of the late Etsel and Myrtle Haynes. Brother-in-law of the late Wilfred Faubert (Loretta), late Gordon Faubert (Diane Plewes), Don Plewes, and the late Roger Autio (Vivian). Caring uncle and friend to many. We wish to extend our thanks and gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Sault Area Hospital for the heartfelt care and compassion given to Syd during his many hospital stays. Thank you to everyone who touched Syd's life and made a difference.
Friends may call the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 10am to 1pm. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 1:30pm.
