Passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 83. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Frances ‘Fran’. Father of Chuck (Shelley) Hawdon and Mary-Alice (Aaron) Miller. Grandfather of Patti-Lynn (Zach) Hawdon, Chuck (Chelsea) Hawdon, Carley (Amanda) Hawdon, Ryder Miller, late Courtney Hawdon, Justin Fluke, Jessi (Lee) Matthews, Stevi and Ryan (Shannon) Miller. Great grandfather of 12 and great great grandfather of 1. Son to the late Charles Hawdon and Flossie (nee Erb) Hawdon. Predeceased by his sisters Donna Walker and Lynn Mergaert. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Special family friend of Brian Wood.
Will was an honourary and lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus 932. Will was also involved in Scouts Canada for 19 years and was known as, "Scouter Will". The family would like to thank his brother Knights for all their help and guidance throughout the years. Special thanks to Dr. Farah, Dr. Buenhner, Dr. Schamp and the nurses that took great care of him at Sault Area Hospital.
A private family service will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
