Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with family at his side on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Beloved husband of Pat for 42 years. Caring father of Kevin (Pauline) and the late Michael. Proud grandfather of Tyler and Kyle. Son of the late Olive and Carl Hawdon. Dear brother of Gord (Gloria), Kenny (Maria) and predeceased by Gerald. Brother-in-law of Linda White (Murray), Carol McDonald (Noel), Bruce Fahrer, Bonnie Bruce and Peter Fahrer. Special uncle of Steven, Shelly, Wendy, Olivia, Michael, Kim and Caleb. Ron loved to bring a smile to the elderly in the nursing homes and hospitals by playing and singing their favourite songs. Ron's family will always cherish his song and guitar playing at family gatherings. We will miss the laughter and joy that he brought. At Ron's request, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions payable by cheque to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
