Passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the age of 80 years.  Long-time companion of Theresa.  Loving father of Jack (Kim), Bonnie (Randy), Barbara (John), Frank (Norman), Edward (Lorraine) and Nicole (Christian).  Remembered by their mother Bernice. Cherished grandfather of Brandy (Matt), Jason (Elida), Robin (John), Adam (Laura), Karla (Darryl), Krystal, Nicolas and Nash.  Great grandfather of Evan, Lily, Julia, Kai, Samuel, Mackinlee, Taylor and Carsyn.  Dear brother of the late Van (Claire), Anne (late Alvin), Violette (late Arnold), Armand (Nicole), Claudette (Victor), Juliette (Emile) and Jean-Guy (Lillianne).  Del will be fondly remembered by Theresa’s children Laurie Anne (her daughter Jorden) and Dan Bertolo, Tom and Michelle Aikens (their son Jason).   He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.  Del retired from Algoma Steel after 33 years.  He was well known in the community for many years as the owner of Del & Sons Janitorial Services. His love of decorating his home with award winning Christmas Lights gave many local residents great joy and pleasure of driving by his home on McNabb Street.  Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation And Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 5 p.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 7 p.m. with John LaCrosse officiating.
