GROSSO, Donald William

We regret to announce the passing of Donald Grosso at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 with his family by his side at the age of 78.  Loved husband of the late Sandra Julia. Dear father of Kimberly (Errol), Darrin (Joanne).  Loving grandfather of Kelsey, Shannon and Ella.  Great grandfather of Kane.  Son of the late William and Victoria Grosso.  Brother of Billy (Sue) and Jerry (Arlene) (late Shirley).  Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.   Donald was well known in the local hockey community.  In his early days he won a memorial cup with the St. Catharine’s TeePees and went on to play professional hockey and was inducted into the Sault Ste. Marie Hockey Hall of Fame in 1994.  In respecting Don’s wishes a private family service was held.  If desired memorial donations to ARCH would be appreciated.  The family would like to thank Dr. Spadafore, Dr. Kargbo, Dr. Booth, Dr. Carlson, Dr. Jadavji and the wonderful nurses on 3B for their care and compassion.  (Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 705-759-2522).
