With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Christine at Ottawa Civic Hospital on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Loving wife of Steven (Sault Ste. Marie). Cherished daughter of the late Anne and Benjamin Korney. Predeceased by her sister Darcy, and survived by niece Tara, Stacy, Shawna and Shannelle. Great-aunt of Kierya and Zander, special joys of her life. Will be sadly missed by her aunt Lena, godparents, parents-in-law Marlene and David, brother and sisters-inlaw, lifelong best friend Judy, many cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford), on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 855 Barton Street East, on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
