“As a gem is polished with friction, so a child of God is perfected through adversity.” The family regrets to announce the passing of June Graystone, the gem of our family on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the SAH – General Site in her 95th year. Predeceased by Frederick Jones, Stanley Graystone and beloved son Ronald Graystone. Cherished mother of Barbara Trudeau (late William), Robert Jones, Roxie Graystone and Dianne Soby (Don). June was blessed with two special daughters-in-law Debbie Graystone for her expert care and Johneen Jones for years of fun filled occasions. Cherished grandmother of David Jones (Alana), Graham Jones (Debbie), Rob Jones, Roxie Graystone (Kirsten), Amber Graystone, Stacey Soby, Brent Soby and Michael Soby. Proud great grandmother of 6, the eldest is Bailey Soby. June will be sadly missed by many friends at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 70 East Street and Seniors Drop-In Centre where she participated and contributed her many skills. Thank you to Janice from WeCare and staff of the General Hospital for the care received. Thank you to Dr. Allen and Dr. Smith for years of excellent care. Following June’s wishes, friends may call at the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 2 pm.
