It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jamie on Thursday, August 25, 2022 with her family by her side.

Beloved wife of David, proud and loving mother to Luke (Amanda) Grandmont, Mark (Autumn) Grandmont, daughter to Norris (Sharron) Pyette, predeceased by her mother Marina Bull.  She is survived by her sisters Vicki (Ron) Schryer and Jill Pyette. Sister-in-law to John (Lorie) Grandmont of London, Phillip (Heather) Grandmont, Martha Grandmont of Thamesford. Predeceased by her in laws Phil and Jean Grandmont, sisters in law Debbie (Abbie) Innocente and Patricia Smith, brother-in-law Curtis Grandmont of Sault Ste. Marie.  She will be sadly missed by her nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Jamie married Dave, her high school sweetheart, in 1979. In 1983 they welcomed their first son, Luke. Ten years later, in 1993, they welcomed boy number two, Mark. Jamie loved her sons with all her heart. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for these two - her boys were her life. Jamie would later attend Sault College to become a Personal Support Worker.  Soon after graduating, she began working at the Ontario Finnish Rest Home where she made some of her lifelong friends. Jamie had a long battle with cancer which she courageously faced with smiles and laughter. Along the way, she had help from the amazing staff at the Sault Area Hospital, SAH Cancer Clinic, the radiology staff, and Dr. Keating, Dr. Rosauli, Dr. Hill, and Dr. Pearce.  Jamie’s family will forever be grateful for all the care that she received.

David and the boys would especially like to thank Jamie’s devoted sisters:  Jill, who put her life on hold to care for Jamie in the toughest final months and Vicki, who was always there to provide care and comfort to Jamie during her nine year battle. There aren’t any words to express the immense gratitude the boys have for all that you have done.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Care Fund at Sault Area Hospital.  Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Grandmont family.
