It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Sharon Valerie Graham age 68 on August 25, 2016 at Sault Area Hospital with family at her side. She is survived by her husband Dwight Donaghue, her father Bill Graham, siblings Carolyn Duhamel, Barry Graham (Suzie), and Debbie Nieminen (Dana), "little sisters" Billie Jo Burke and Noreen Kirby,  Dwight's brother, sisters and their spouses as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was pre-deceased by her mother Valerie Graham, her grandparents, and a number of Dwight's siblings. Sharon was an outgoing, fun loving person with a big heart. Whether you were family, friend, coworker or new acquaintance, there was always room for you. Sharon was a champion of many causes and an enthusiastic community advocate having served on the Sault Area Hospital Board, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Commission, the Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Federation, the Legal Review Board and the local Big Sisters organization.  Sharon’s early working years were in Toronto moving to the Sault in the late ‘80’s. She worked for CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) and was still actively employed with the organization at the time of her passing.  Sharon loved music and dancing and she was an avid traveler always looking forward to the next travel adventure whether with her BPW colleagues, Dwight or her sisters. She will be dearly missed by all. A special thank you to the staff of 3B and 3C at the Sault Area Hospital for their excellent care.  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm with a Celebration of life to be held in the chapel at 2 pm. Mr. Ron Dempster officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the local Big Sisters organization would be appreciated. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.
