 GLOVERSuddenly at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, September 18, 2011, two months shy of his 80th birthday. Loving husband for 58 years to Frances “Fran” (Hertz). Loving father of John, Suzanne Coccimiglio (Lou), Shelley (Spanky Robinson) and Aura Lee Dale-LeBlanc (Charles). Grandfather of Darlene, Kira, Courtney and Jamie, Caleb and Anthony, Kate, Chris and Matthew. Step-grandfather of Cody and Mary. Great-grandfather of Summer, Kyle and Kaitlin. Survived by his brother Lee Irwin. Brother-in-law of Jack Hertz (Pat) and Bonnie Matthews (Jim). Doug was a retired, long-time employee of Algoma Steel. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and his Church Community. Friends may call at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 352 Northern Avenue East on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 12 noon until time of funeral and committal service at 2 p.m. with Reverend Peter Smyth, Venerable William Stadnyk and Reverend Bob Elkin officiating. Memorial donations to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Sault Area Hospital or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society (Doug never met a dog he didn’t like) would be appreciated by the family.
