With great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of George at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, May 26, 2012 with his family at his side, at the age of 77. Son of the late Josef and Martha Glemnitz of Munich, Germany. Dear husband and friend of Kathryne for 38 years. Cherished father of Jessica (Andrew Marriott) and Leanne (Roger DellaVedova). Wonderful Opa of Nicholas DellaVedova and Vivienne Marriott. Dearest brother of Eva Suess (late Karl) of Munich, Germany. Brother-in-law of Gerri Ansley, Phyllis Armstrong, Sonnie and Caroline Armstrong, Harry Symboluk and Phyllis Mihailiuk. Uncle of Gabrielle Suess, Karl Heinz Suess (Manuella), Derek Ansley, Marty Armstrong, Kelly Armstrong-Jack and Marissa Morley. George immigrated to Canada on January 14, 1957. He began his employment in Wawa, Ontario and retired from Algoma Steel as a respected supervisor for over 40 years. It was his wish that there be no funeral service. A celebration and sharing of his life will take place at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6 – 9 pm.
