With sorrow the family announces the unexpected death of Kenneth Girard at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Saturday February 27, 2021 at the age of 68. Beloved partner to Virginia and dedicated father to John Girard (Amy) of Milton, Manny Girard of Wawa and Evelyn Girard (Robert) of Sturgeon Falls. Loving grandfather to Hudson, Hartley and Mélanie. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents Manser and Evelyn Girard (née Ste. Croix). Kenneth is also survived by his siblings Lorne (Marie) Girard of London and Lorraine (David) Stacey of Barrie, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ken is remembered as the charismatic friend to all and an avid member of the Catholic Church community; Sunday mornings were dedicated to making breakfast for, and chatting with, local community members. He enjoyed watching his Montreal Canadiens, fishing, and talking about fishing.
Funeral mass was held at Paroisse Ste. Bernadette Parish in Elliot Lake on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at 11 am. Memorial contributions to St. Joseph’s General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
