GIOVANATTI, Carmela (nee Pavoni)

Passed away at home on Thursday, May 27, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of the late Hugo Giovanatti and cherished mother of Clement and Irma Giovanatti (Jerry Parniak). Daughter of the late Domenic and Giuseppina Pavoni. Sister of the late Mary Deluco, and Andrew (Andy) Pavoni. Survived by her grandchildren Gratia Giovanatti – Toscano (Paolo), Irma Jr. Direnzo (Paolo) and David Giovanatti, and by her great grandchildren Maximiliano and Chiara and many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Stephanie and Victor Batenchuk and Rose Pascuzzi. Carmela was known for her indomitable spirit and extraordinary generosity. She was a devout Christian with a child like faith in Jesus. She was a life time member of the Catholic Women’s League. During her declining years she raised the bar on models of patience, optimism and courage. She will be sadly missed. Friends may call at the O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home (corner of Cathcart and St. James Streets) Tuesday, June 1st from 11 a.m. until 1:15. Funeral mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
