Tuesday, January 16, 2018 was a “Tom Dicker of a Day”. Surrounded by her family at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice Iris has gone to join the love of her life, Bill (Papa). Born April 2, 1934 in Little Rapids to the late Chris and Emma Towell (Aikens). Much adored and loved mom and mother-in-law of Billy (Janice), Terry (Chris), Scott (Mary Anne) and Debbie. Proud and treasured Nanny of Krysta (Danan), Jessica (Corey), Gregory (Anna), Michelle (Andrew), Jodie-Lynn (Alain) and her great grandchildren Bryleigh, Mikhyla and Michael Terrance. Predeceased by her brothers Chris, Don (late Margaret), Joel, Warner and Gerry (Joan). Caring big sister to Brenda Teubert (Uwe), Marlene McKinley (Don), Sharon Pinder (Dave), Garland (Elva), Gordon (Lee), Wendy Notte (Dominic) and Judy Rynard (John). Sister-in-law of Betty Ann Cameron (late Stu), late Douglas, and the late Susan Gaye Valiquette (late Paul). Much loved Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Iris’s good friend Kathy Eadie. Many thanks to Dr. Booth and the entire, incredible ARCH staff and volunteers for their comfort, care and compassion. In respecting Mom’s wishes cremation and a private family gathering has taken place. Iris “Nanny” was the foundation that made us all family strong that holds the Towell Clan together.
