GDELA, GERALD

Gerald Gdela passed away at the Sault Area Hospital with his family by his side, on July 14, 2012, in his 86th year. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jeanette Gdela. He was the son of the late John Gdela and Casimira Sobal, and was raised by his aunt and uncle, the late Anna and John Skowronek. Gerald will be sadly missed by his children Ann Marie Gdela (Andy), John Gdela (Barb), Catherine Ma (Bill), and Cindy Sierzputowski (Chris). He was known as papa to his many grandchildren, Deseree, Justin, Joshua, Jennifer, Jasmin, Brandon, Tyler, and Nicole. Gerald was a special uncle to many. It will also be a great loss to his two best companions, Browser and Jewel, they were true to their master and by his side in both the good and the bad times. Family and friends are invited to call at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home and Cremation Center, corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts., Friday July 20th, 2012 from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m., for a celebration of Gerald’s life.
