March 21, 1924-April 29, 2012 John passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 29th, 2012 in Victoria BC. He was born March 21, 1924 in Hull, Quebec to parents Joseph Gauthier and Evangeline Gratton. Cherished husband of 63 years to Patricia Gauthier, loving father to Jack, Anne , Mary, Michael (Dawna), Michelle (Don), Jerry (Brian), Dan (Colleen). Grandfather to Robert Beaupre ( Maria), Bill Beaupre ( Corene) , Marc Morin, Lise Morin, Shay Jordan. Great Grandfather to Matthew Beaupre, William Junior Beaupre, Aaliyah Beaupre. John is also survived by his sister Elise.
John served in the Canadian Armed forces during World War Two and for many years after in the Reserves and was also a member of the Canadian Legion for over 50 years. He was an Electrician and Gas Fitter by trade but also had many added talents. John was always willing to help others and will be remembered for his generosity and great sense of humour which he kept with him until the end.
