It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She went peacefully in her sleep at the General Hospital on Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Beloved wife of John for 40 years. Loving mother and friend of Jean Rosenberg (Merl), Margaret Berlinguette (Clare Ferguson), Dorothy Caruso and John MacDonald (Tammy Bergamin). Nanny will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Larry Doherty (Sandie) of Matthews, N.C., Marnie Doherty (Mario Dessureault) of Windsor, Christopher Caruso, Denise Berlinguette (Rocco Stragapete) of Toronto and Colette Gray (Craig) and by her great grandchildren Cameron and Bailey Doherty of North Carolina and Conner Gray of Sault Ste. Marie. Step Nanny to Ann Brandow (late Jack) and Bill Rosenberg (Jeannine). Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Special aunt of Patricia Dyni (Bill Dixon). Sister-in-law of Ella, Mary, Edith, Isobel, Annetta and Jim Gauley all of Scotland and England. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, January 30, 2004 from 12 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm. Mrs. Mildred Pajuluoma officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Dr. Fritz and his nurses, Dr. Mathew and the third floor nursing staff of the General Hospital. Sometimes it’s hard to tell you Mom, just how special you are and how much you mean to all your family and friends. Although you are no longer with us in body, you will live forever in our hearts.
