 GAUDIOPassed away peacefully, surrounded by all of his loving family, at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday May 10, 2011, at the age of 65 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Luisa for 42 years. Dearly loved and devoted father of Domenica Braido (Angelo), Franca Spadafora (Aldo) and Rosanna Gaudio. Cherished and playful nonno of Luca and Marcus Spadafora and Maddison Braido. His grandsons will always remember him as “nonno me and you” and playing in his jungle garden. Born February 8, 1946 in Serra d’Aiello, Italy to the late Luigi and Domenica Gaudio. He will be sadly missed by his sister Rosaria Cappelli (Alfredo), predeceased by Pietruzza (Giovanni) and Franca (Luigi) of Italy. Son-in-law of Emilia and the late Giovanni Pucci-Vecchio. Dear brother-in-law of Angelo Pucci (Louise), Ed Pucci (Lila), Silvana Pucci, Mary Healy, Joe Pucci (Anna) and Eva Sicoly (Ron). Kind hearted Zio Gabe to his many nieces and nephews. Forever missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Sault Ste. Marie and Italy. Special compare to many friends. “Pa” will always be remembered for his two time award winning Christmas Lights, beautiful flowers and bountiful garden. His generosity and love for all people will never be forgotten. Family and friends may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Gregory’s Church at 9 a.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Algoma Lung Association to help better the research for Pulmonary Fibrosis would be appreciated by the family.
