Suddenly and unexpectedly the lights stopped shining for Leslie "Les" Fulcher, my best friend and life's companion on Thursday, October 26th 2023, at the Sault Area Hospital.

He was born in Woodstock, Ontario; was happily married to Sointu "Sandy" Fulcher; was the father of Kimberley Cousin (Rob) and Karen Fulcher; the grandfather of Olivia Cousin; brother-in-law to Margaret Fulcher and Reijo and Sirpa Kaukinen. He was the last surviving member of the Fulcher family being predeceased by his siblings Alvin, Roy (WWII), Helen and Edith.

For 30+ years he worked at engineering at Algoma Steel. In retirement he travelled and visited most of the States with his fifth wheel, spending winters in either Texas or Arizona. After selling the fifth wheel, going on cruises, especially to England and Finland were enjoyed. His "Happy Place" was always his home in Gros Cap. He was a sports minded individual, playing badminton and tennis with the Senior Players Group. He was an avid biker, bicycling from Gros Cap to the Steel Plant every day from April to October for more than 30 years.

KEEP ON RIDING LES 'TILL WE MEET AGAIN!

A celebration of life will be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East) on Tuesday October 31st starting at 1 pm, with a memorial service led by Rev. Brad Mittleholtz at 2 pm. Friends and family are invited to join us for the committal at St. Luke's Columbarium at 3 pm, weather permitting.

Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque may be made to the Ontario Finnish Rest Home or a charity of your choice in Les' honour. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Fulcher family.
