Rita Foster passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the age of 91.
Rita is now reunited with her late husband, John Foster.
She leaves behind her beloved children: Mary Ellen, Francine and Shelley. Cherished godmother of John Papi. Much loved aunt of Tim, Jeffery, Richard, David, Robert and Krista. Rita will be lovingly remembered by all of her extended family and friends in Sault Ste. Marie and Copper Cliff.
Born on October 19, 1932, to the late Guilio and Elvera Longarini. Dear sister of the late Orfeo “Lee Lee”, late Armando, late Bruno (late Carole), late Gino (Joanne) and late Carlo (late Gabriella).

Resting at O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) where family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 11:30am – 1:30pm. A service will be held at 2pm in the Funeral Home’s Chapel with Father Jeff Shannon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to TAAG, the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
