Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Englehart hospital on April 30th, 2004. Beloved wife of Norman and loving mother of Jerome (Laurie), Terry (Pauline), Dennis (Suzie), Marty (Angela) and Maureen (Marc) Proulx. Sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, her brother Michael (Linda), sister Jessimae of Sault Ste. Marie, sister Gwen (Frank) Godfrey, Kelowna B.C. Predeceased by her parents Daniel Sheehan and Jessimae, brothers Danny, Terry, Dennis and sister Patricia Barrow. Bette was born in Blind River and after graduating from the nursing school at Sault Ste. Marie General Hospital worked as a nurse in Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and Blind River prior to moving to Elk Lake. Bette was a caring, loving, kind person with a great love for and devotion to God and her family. She had a wonderful sense of humour and a generous spirit which remained with her up to her death. Following an all night family vigil, a Mass of Christian Burial was held at Nativity Parish, Elk Lake.
