FINATERI, Stefano “Chummy” – With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Stefano at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 72. Devoted father of Stefanie (Jenna), Christina (Darren) and Matthew. Proud Nonno of Piper, Sawyer, Mason, Miia and Kai. He will be sadly missed and remembered by his friend and the mother of their children, Ezia Finateri. Son of the late Giulio and the late Concetta Finateri. Brother of Marco Finateri and the late Luciano Finateri. Stefano will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and the Toma family.
Dad’s biggest accomplishments were his children and his grandchildren. He was so very proud of everything they did, showed endless support and was their #1 fan. He was a kindhearted and hard-working simple man. He loved his country home in Goulais River where he was surrounded by the silence of nature and some close friends who he would help unconditionally.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 noon with Mr. John LaCrosse officiating. Memorial donations to the Goulais River Fire & Rescue or the SAH Critical Care Fund would be greatly appreciated.
We are heartbroken by his unexpected passing but so grateful for all of the wonderful memories we are left with. He will be greatly missed but remembered by all his family, friends and the Goulais River community.
