With broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Maria at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the age of 81. We take comfort knowing she is now reunited with her devoted husband Amedeo, who passed away only 11 weeks ago. Loving mother and friend of Gino (Anna), Frankie (Sandra), Roni (Carmelina) and Deni (Lori). Proud Nonna of Natalie, Nick, Maria, Luca, Christina, Victoria, Amedeo Jr and Maximus. Maria will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and the Filice and Flammia families in Windsor, Toronto, Sault Ste. Marie, and Italy.
Maria had a love for her family. Her greatest joy was keeping her bountiful table filled for her family and friends, with her world famous genetti’s, mouthwatering apple pie, and her heart-warming pizza. Her grandkids provided her with extra love and were the light of her life.
