ETHIER, Daniel Lionel - Peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice with his family by his side on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the age of 68.
Beloved husband of Marilyn for 49 years. Loving father of Luke (Melanie) and Nicky (James) Kerr. Proud Papa of Emily, Grace, Ella, Liam and Claire. Predeceased by mother Dorothy Foreshew, sisters Linda, Bernie, Betty and brother Raymond. Survived by sisters Joanne, Marilyn and brother Stanley. Dan will fondly remembered by his nieces Sandra (Robbie), Patsy (Jimmy), Denise and Brenda (John). Longtime best friends of Brian, Virg, Ronnie, Debbie, Sylvia, Billy and families. Childhood best friend of Michael Vanderhoof. Dan grew up in Sudbury moved to Barrie and then the Sault Ste Marie where he met his wife and raised a family. Dan enjoyed golfing and his 1965 Mustang and 1974 Corvette. He spent many summers camping, loved to travel and spending time on Lake Superior. Friends may visit the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522) on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. Funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Spring interment at Hillside Cemetery in Prince Township.
